From Jonsered's ancient and culturally marked working environment, the Gotaleden now winds its way up to the heights of Goråsbergen with a heavenly view of Lake Aspen.

From the 1830s until the 1970s, Jonsered was a distinctly working-class society. Today, Jonsered is considered one of the country's cultural treasures.

From here, Gotaleden goes to "Sweden's most inspiring park" Jonsered's gardens and café, which is well worth a stop. Jonsereds Trädgårdar was inaugurated in 2014 and is a free interpretation of the 19th century garden that was previously on the site.

At Jonsered Manor you can enjoy the view of Lake Aspen. The trail then goes down towards Humlebadet and winds its way on paths up to Goråsbergen. Here you can easily get over some rippling streams thanks to several ridges. When you reach the top of Goråsbergen, a nice view of Lake Aspen awaits.

After 4 km you can choose an alternative route via Rådjursviken which is a very beautiful place with the opportunity for swimming and rest.

After about 6 km you reach the cozy Aspenäs Café and Aspenäs manor which offers both food and accommodation. The stage then turns into a very easy hike along Lake Aspen and leads to Aludden Prôvidore very close to the center of Lerum. Here, various events are arranged in the spirit of food, bread and wine.

About Difficulty Grading

The grading of the trails is based on a common national standard. If you want to read more about this, visit the National Framework for Hiking Trails.

Even and firm ground: The terrain is generally flat. The hike requires no need to use your hands for support. No obstacles. Bridges are always present when crossing waterways.

Uneven and/or soft ground: Some changes in elevation. Certain sections may require hand support to maintain balance. There may be obstacles such as low stiles and short stairs. Minor obstacles like stones and roots. Boardwalks are present.

Loose or slippery ground combined with steep sections: Technical parts require hand support. There may be obstacles such as high stiles and longer stairs. Frequent sections with stones and/or roots. Boardwalks with deeper surrounding water.

Note: One or more of these features may be present along the trail section.

Mycket krävande del några km efter att man passerat Jonsered trädgårdar och innan man kom fram till Aspenäs. Brant nedstigning som får göras med hjälp av rep som finns fastgjorda i berg/träd.
