Section 6 of the Bohusleden Trail runs between Angereds Kyrka in Göteborg to Fontin in Kungälv.
The walk begins on narrow footpaths and cycle tracks, alongside meadows and farms and after a while, crosses the River Lärjeån where the Trail continues into the woodland. The Trail soon reaches Vättlefjäll, a wild and beautiful nature reserve close to town. The word vättle originate from the Swedish words vatten and väta (water and wet), and there are many lakes with lovely small rocky peninsulas, perfect for a picnic or a swim.
North of Vättlefjäll, the Trail runs through the village of Bohus and on to Jordfallsbron bridge over the River Göta Älv. The ruin of Bohus Fortress is situated on an island in the river. The Trail continues into the old part of Kungälv and ends by a recreation centre at Fontin Nature Reserve.
In Kungälv there are different types of service facilities, including. food and different types of accommodation.
Surface: This section of the trail is party on asphalt, then dirt road and forest paths.
Approximate time: It take about 6-7 hours to walk this section, excluding breaks.
